Thank you so much for visiting my photoblog. I’m Alisa Luciano, I live in southern New England, and I’m glad to be able to share my photographs and observations with you. I started this site as a place to post photographs that I had taken. I love beautiful things, pretty places, delicious food, thoughtful writing, interesting artwork, inspiring people, and observations of the world that make you think a little bit. Initially I just posted photographs here, but because I love writing as well and was having a hard time maintaining a plethora of blogs with various directions, I combined photographs and writing into one blog.
During the daytime, I work “coordinating” well, things. Things like papers, meetings, mad scientists, academics, and physicians. But my real education and love involves classical and church piano performance, writing, literary studies, and education. I am not a professionally trained photographer, but I love to look at the world with new angles and fresh perspectives. If you try hard, you can always see something different, even when looking at the same object over and over.
My blog is named Through a Glass because looking thru the camera lens sometimes makes me see something I never noticed before, which is the best way to view the world. I look around my little life in frames, angles, shots, perspectives, and edits, literally and figuratively. Photographs and words and music all tell stories and express observations. They capture memories of life. The things I love to do most in my life all combine to record the essence of living and here I primarily use photographs and words to accomplish this pursuit.
If you are interested in a print, a photo shoot, freelance writing work, or just contacting me for anything, please do, at email@example.com. I’d love to hear from you. (And of course, as you know,
because we are all sensible people, please do not copy my work without permission. I am happy to discuss options for using my work, but no one likes stealing. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Thank you again for coming by Through A Glass.
